In 2014, a warm spring and the
earliest bloom in 25 years set the stage for our earliest harvest ever,
beginning in Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley on September 13th and a
week later in the comparatively cooler Willamette Valley. Excellent weather continued throughout
picking, wrapping up on October 7th.
By blending several vineyard
sources and regions and avoiding heavy-handed winemaking techniques we hope to
achieve a balanced wine focused on the abundant varietal fruit character of
this classic grape.
The 2014 Firesteed Pinot Gris’
Pear blossom and Crenshaw melon aromas meld with flavors of tropical fruit and
citrus. Mouthwatering and enticing, its
bright acidity and broad texture entwine throughout the wine’s lingering

Due to inclement weather Firesteed will hold any shipments via UPS Ground until weather permits - Hot Summer until late September or Cold Winter until early March.
